This is where the journey begins…..

My name is Missy, I collapsed after wandering for months in the freezing cold. I was starving, thirsty, and could not see. My fur was so knotted I could not open my mouth or my eyes. I was engulfed with maggots, worms and worbles. You can see my right eye is completely discolored from a horrific cataract… everything is blurry.  As I lay there not even able to lift my head and barely able to take a breath, I felt gentle hands picking me up and holding me so close I could feel a heart beating; then I heard a soft voice whisper: ‘Oh my poor baby… it is going to be ok… I am going to save you… I promise you are safe now’. I had to spend the night at the veterinarian’s hospital; and even though they took such good care of me, I just wanted to feel the hands that saved me and hear the voice that gave me hope and promise.

My mom brought me home, my ‘mom’ told me I was the most beautiful baby she had ever seen even though I had bruises and no hair. I wore adorable dresses everyday to keep me warm until my hair grew back… I will share a secret – I loved my dresses so much I would pose for pictures to show them off. Eventually, I wore bows in my hair and since fur babies cannot be spoiled, I was living the life my ‘mom’ told me I always deserved. 

Everyone tells my ‘mom’ she saved me but she says “no Missy saved me”! Now with the love she has for all fur/feather/fin babies has developed: Missy’s Motif ~ Pet Accessories Made with Love~….
